Shades for the Summer | Colourpop Eyeshadows, Highlighters & Brows

Hello lovely people of the Internet, long time no blog post! Sorry I've been so MIA the past couple of months but summer school and a fresh new job has been keeping my life a bit hectic for me. Regardless I'll try my best to post as often as I can because I definitely have a lot of content/ideas that I'm currently planning for my blog. ;)

So lately I've been obsessed with Colourpop cosmetics, I swear almost half of my makeup collection consists of their products alone! 😅  A few months ago I purchased TEN neutral/shimmery eyeshadows, a brow pencil and some highlighters (not gonna lie my wallet died right after haha). Seriously need to add some colour into my makeup collection soon, but for now nudes/neutrals are all I'm going for this summer.

Eyeshadows:

These eyeshadows cost $5 USD each and were definitely well worth the money! All 10 have crazy pigmentation and are super creamy, so applying with your fingers would be best. If I had to recommend and choose an absolute favourite from the bunch, it would definitely be Weenie (created/collaborated with YouTuber KathleenLights), it's just the perfect rose gold colour that can match any skin tone!

Top L-R: Lovely, Amaze, Lala, Weenie, DGAF
Bottom L-R: KathleenLights, Blaze, Nillionaire, Bandit, Mittens

Highlighters:

The highlighters go for $8 USD a piece and are just as creamy as the eyeshadows. They are also just as pigmented, but I'm honestly still not too sure about the staying power. I feel like these definitely need some setting spray or powder for them to last longer throughout the day. Nonetheless the colours are gorgeous, and for the price, definitely worth it.

Brow Pencil:

The eyebrow pencil goes for $5 USD and the shade I chose is Black N' Brown. When I purchased these a while back, getting a hold of this colour was a mission and a half (apparently everyone has dark brown eyebrows haha). The quality is certainly not as comparable to Anastasia Beverly Hills, but if you're new to makeup and have fairly medium/thick brows like mine, these would be a great pick to start out with. It's super creamy so it can come off easily if rubbed, so that's one thing I would bring to attention if you decide to go with this product!

All in all I would 100% recommend these products, as I still have more products Colourpop that I have yet to blog about (*hint...it involves ummm je ne sais pas...;p)! By far the eyeshadows are my favourite, although I do hate applying with my fingers every time.

Is Colourpop worth the hype? I honestly think so....what do you guys think?

Till next time,
Evelyn ♡

Colourpop Ultra Satin/Matte Lippies Haul & Swatches

These past few months, Colourpop has been growing in popularity for their affordable yet great quality products. I've been dying to get my hands on some of their lip products since Christmas, and now finally was able to put in an order....Obviously I ended up going crazy and bought 8 shades in the end...whoops lol.

L - R: Echo Park, Bumble, Frick N' Frack, Tulle, Avenue, Prim

L - R: Grunge, Topanga, Bumble, Tulle, Avenue, Echo Park, Frick N' Frack, Prim

Lippie Stix $5: Topanga, Grunge
These are more glossy than the other finishes but are still very pigmented (you may need to reapply hours later though). Grunge is perfect for the Fall and I honestly just bought Topanga for the name lol.

Ultra Satin Lip $6: Echo Park, Frick N' Frack, Prim
These are not completely matte; they have a creamy finish to them as well. Echo Park was definitely my least favourite from the bunch, it's really light on my skin and would look best on lighter skin tones, unless you're into that washed out nude look. Frick N' Frack was my fave from the finishes as it's a slightly lighter version of Tulle. Prim is the perfect plum red that looks great for a vampy look.

Ultra Matte Lip $6: Bumble, Tulle, Avenue
These are completely matte, and you need to apply this quickly before it sets on your lips. Bumble is a warm terracotta (that's what it says online) colour, and Avenue is a true bright red. I would highly recommend Tulle to everyone, it fits all skin tones and is definitely my favourite from my entire purchase.

Canadian customers:
If you're buying from Canada like me, you'll want to keep your cart under $100 to avoid paying any extra fees in duties. I also kept my cart to 8 items so that the shipping would not double (but this might differ according to where you live)! The total came to about $65 (including tax and conversion rates), so I practically paid around $8 for each product. Compared to the quality, I think it's definitely worth the extra bucks, you should definitely give it a chance if you can!

I hope this post was helpful for you in knowing a bit more about Colourpop cosmetics and I've already bought some eye and cheek products as well, so keep a look out for my next post! ;) Let me know if you've tried any of these shades, or which ones from the site that you prefer!

I've also just posted a swatches video in case you'd like to see the lip colours in action lol. Make sure to give it a like if you check it out, and subscribe for more to come! :)

I hope you have a wonderful day, wherever it may be!~

Till next time,
Evelyn ♡

Cravin' Crêpes: Maribyrnong, Australia

Last summer I went to Melbourne, Australia to visit my cousins for three weeks. This trip ultimately made my decision to want to move there permanently after I graduate. It seems like a big step, since I've lived in Toronto my entire life, but I just love the weather, culture and accents (lol), and realized that this could be the beginning to a new chapter in my life. While I was staying over at my cousins' house, my brother and I checked out this cute little café just a few minutes away. Cravin' Crêpes sold both savoury and sweet crêpes, and since I have an extreme sweet tooth, chose to try out their 'Sticky Tooth' dish. They also had a variety of beverages, so my brother ordered an iced chocolate. Thankfully we decided to share because the amount was definitely too big for a single person alone (unless you're really hungry, which we weren't). With the peaceful atmosphere, I think the café is perfect for those who want to grab a bite with friends or just study while enjoying a tasty snack.

Some of the décor - it gives a vintage vibe in the café
You can see me taking the pic in the mirrored menu lol
Sticky Tooth Crêpe - Nutella, butter-snap cookie, twix, custard - $14.90 AUD
This literally sounded like diabetes to me (and looks debatable) -.- but still tasted devine! No regrets! lol

I Don't Know About You, But I'm Turning 22!~

Hey guys,

Last Friday started with a lovely psychology exam...on my birthday. -.-" Although I was supposed to go to Troye Sivan's concert afterwards, it unfortunately got postponed (I'm such a lucky girl lol). However instead I travelled downtown Toronto with my friend and got to visit the Allan Gardens Conservatory. If you ever visit Toronto or want to explore the downtown area I would highly recommend you check out the conservatory. It's open year-round and is completely free and open to the public for admittance. Here are a few photos from the trip, let me know in the comments if you've ever been there or know any similar places that you've been to!~

My Current Top 5 Korean Actors (of all time)

So if you didn't know already, I love watching korean dramas and have been into it since high school (for more than almost 7 years now).  So of course I would have a list of some of my favourite all time actors, and thought that I could share it with you...even though it is kinda a bit of a random post. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy reading about my top 5 and feel free to comment your top 5 (Korean or not) as well!~

5. Park Seo-Joon | ë°•ì„œì¤€

Park Seo-Joon first caught my attention in Dream High 2 and A Witch's Romance, but definitely bought his spot at #5 thanks to She Was Pretty. Can't wait to see him in future dramas because he is so much more popular now!

Kikki.K Haul

Happy New Year! I thought I would start off the new year with a haul from Kikki.K (which I visited in Australia during the summer break). If you love stationary then you should definitely check them online or in-store (in certain countries). This brand is a bit on the pricier side but for the quality and universality I think it's more than worth it!
