Boxcar Social | Café Corner

Hello hello!~ A while ago I stopped by this cute café/bar called Boxcar Social whilst hanging out with some friends near downtown Toronto. Here are a few photos from that day (some which were also graciously taken by my friends as well, thank you if you're reading this haha).

Iced Tea & Iced Chai Latte
To start off, I would describe this spot as a perfect place to relax and unwind with your friends. The menu was so extensive I had to stare at it for a good 5-10 minutes before I could finally decide what I wanted. I chose an iced chai latte, while my friends opted for a matcha latte (not pictured) and an iced tea. Honestly, all our drinks were a bit meh, nothing too out of the ordinary. They weren't as strong in flavour as we hoped they would be, to say the least. Although with that being said, I would still definitely visit here again in the future. The atmosphere just felt so cosy and there's even an outdoor patio out back. I would rate this café a 4/5 (docking a point for our drinks in particular). It's overall a great place to hang out, hence the "social" in their name haha. I would recommend to opt for their hot coffees or alcoholic beverages, since that's what their menu focuses on. If any of you get the chance to visit this cute coffee shop please let me know what you think!~

Offsite | Café Corner

Hello hello! Being the coffee/tea lover that I am, I thought I'd start a new series on my blog called Café Corner, where I basically recommend any café that I feel deserves a post! If you don't already live in Toronto, Canada, I hope my posts still gives you one of many reasons to come visit our wonderful (but sometimes freezing cold) city! 😉  So without further ado, let's start off this series with a creative little café called Offsite:

Regular latte on the left & gingerbread latte on the right
Having found this aesthetically pleasing little place on Instagram, I thought my friend and I could go check it out for ourselves. The space is considered to be a café, boutique and gallery all together in one, which is so unique and cool compared to your regular coffee shop. Considering the super friendly staff, beautiful interiors and affordable quality coffees/lattes, Offsite deserves a solid 5/5! Heck, even the washroom is pretty lol! All-in-all I loved my visit here (it definitely won't be my last) and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new café to give a try!

P.S. CALLING ALL ASPIRING CANADIAN MUSICIANS:
A good friend of mine asked if I could mention a contest being hosted by radio station Z103.5 where you can win $20,000 by answering the question: "What would you do with $20,000?". I don't know too much, so check out fundmefest.com for more details if you're interested. The deadline to apply for the event is April 17, 2017

Be...By Bubzbeauty | Swatches & Review

When I found out that one of my all-time favourite YouTubers, Bubzbeauty was releasing an eyeshadow palette in collaboration with BH Cosmetics, I knew I had to get my hands on it no matter what! It's called Be... and each shade contains an uplifting and positive word that goes along with it, I think it's such a cute and inspiring idea! The palette currently retails for $14.50 USD so it's definitely more affordable than most high-end products in stores like MAC and Sephora. Unfortunately this can only be bought online, so I hope this post helps those of you who are on the fence on whether or not you should get this palette.

Charismatic & Able on the lid with Thoughtful on the crease

Overall I would rate this product a 4/5. I docked off one point because of the lack of pigmentation/ chalkiness in lighter shades like Happy and Hopeful, but it's nothing a little priming spray can't fix. Colours are definitely buildable and can create great looks for both night and day! Definitely recommend this to anyone new to makeup as it's a great starter palette, or if you're like me and just want to support BubzBeauty in this awesome collab ;) Regardless I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful for you!~

Check out Be... here

Till next time,
Evelyn ♡
